W. Truman Hosner

Master Pastelist: PSA, IAPS, PSEC, PSWC

"I will teach concepts (taught to me and proven over the years in my own work) about the effects of light unique to nature. In addition, I will begin with Frank Reilly's (Art Student's League) 6-line system of connectivity in drawing the figure. . . an abbreviated system that helps to deal with changing light and movement and results in an organic feel to drawing/painting the figure. I will demo two mornings, one drawing, one painting . . . then the students will practice my teaching in those respective afternoons. The class will work in studio until the third day, when, weather permitting the students will work out of doors.

I teach a manner of thinking and all medias are welcome, - with my demos in pastel. I often have oil paintersand watercolorists in my classes."
